Marianne Weil’s abstract bronze and glass sculptures are created using the lost‐wax casting process.  Weil, of Orient, NY, visits prehistoric sites and studies the remnants of ancient life to incorporate into her sculptural work. Painter, Randy Akers of Skidaway Island, GA believes that “people want a record of where they’ve been and what they’ve seen.”

The American Quilter’s Society, the largest quilting membership organization in the world, is returning to the Ocean Center March 1 – 4, 2017 for QuiltWeek-Daytona Beach and Ormond’s Byrd’s Nest Quilt Shop will be there. Close to 500 quilts will be on display, with more than $50,000 in prizes will be awarded for quilting excellence.
