SUMMARY:Art is the Child of Nature
DESCRIPTION:Nature has long been a muse for artists. Haley Farthing\, Cathy Leaycraft and Donald Martin are three artists exploring the intricacies and subtleties found in nature with their chosen mediums. \nThe sensitive drawings of Haley Farthing depict tiny samples of nature\, magnified to a large-scale\, bringing our attention to the often over-looked. Her play with realistic organic representation versus the decoration of nature speaks to a contrast existing between the true state of the natural world and our influence on it. \nCathy Leaycraft approaches nature photography with non-traditional methods\, employing a hollow glass sphere to view her subject indirectly. In doing so she is able to capture landscapes and natural elements in a way that appears other-worldly. \nDonald Martin works primarily with the process of printmaking\, giving the tools and traditions of the past a contemporary relevance. Likewise\, his work portrays paradoxical parallels in nature such as the coexistence of beauty and loss and the interplay between abstract and recognizable forms. Martin’s work is influenced by personal experience with the landscape of Northeast Florida.

SUMMARY:Georgi Andonov
DESCRIPTION:Frame of Mind Art Gallery is happy to host Bulgarian artist Georgi Andonov through August & September 2018. \nHis pop collection of portraiture and symbolism is a layering of realism\, color play\, and spirit. \nVisit FrameofMindArt.com for the collection.  \nGeorgi Andonov graduated from the National Art Academy in 1990. Three years later he opens Colo Tempo Gallery (1993-1995) and in 1996 his own gallery in Beirut\, Lebanon. From 1998 Andonov works with the largest lebanese art dealer Fadi Mogabgab Gallery. Interesting and impressive as an artist\, in 2003 he starts working with William Merill Gallery in Los Angeles (USA)\, and from 2007 with Boutique 1 Gallery in Dubai (UАЕ)\, Martin McNab Art Gallery San Diego\, Art stuidio “Mikonos”. In Bulgaria Georgi Andonov is presented by ANIMA Art Gallery. \nParallel to his work as an artist\, Georgi Andonov is involved with Contemporary Art Society – an organization that is founded in 2005 in partnership with Art Contemporian (Fadi Mogabgab)\, Beirut. Since 2006 the artist lives in Burgas\, Bulgaria. \n“I believe that art should express beauty and joy. There is a longing for romantic nostalgia in my work. \nI believe that each painting should be a distillation of reality rather than a direct representation. \nI am driven to render familiar images and present them to the viewer in their most extreme form. Each painting is a symbol. \nI want my paintings to reflect a feeling of timelessness\, choosing subjects devoid of any contemporary characteristics -monkey\, rose\, silent row of umbrellas on an empty beach. \nI am torn by the dichotomy caused by the uncomfortable bedfellows of my modern sensibilities and my respect for the old masters.”
