DESCRIPTION:Scenic Historical Bus Tour presented by the Ormond Beach Historical Society. This two hour tour includes the Ormond Scenic Loop\, Fairchild Oak\, Three Chimneys Sugar Mill Ruins\, Ormond Indian Burial Mound and historic homes along the way. A knowledgeable tour guide will interpret the 30 sites on the route. Tickets are $22 for adults\, $20 for OB Historical Society members\, $7 for ages 7 – 12\, and can be purchased at the OBHS Welcome Center 38 East Granada Blvd. or by phone using Visa or Master Card. Reservations are required as space is limited. Call 386-677-7005 for tickets or more information. The first annual Ormond-Daytona Beach Automobile Races were held just south of what is now the Granada Boulevard beach ramp.  A one-mile course was laid out headed south\, and the meet began with the first official automobile racing event ever held on the beach. \nThe Ormond Beach Historical Society is honored to preserve and present this legacy in a temporary exhibit highlighting the activities of the “1st Speed Week.”  The exhibit includes black and white photographs and artifacts from the first race(s). \nVisitor Information: \nAdmission: Free and open to the public. \nMuseum Hours: Tuesday–Saturday\, 10:00-3:00 pm. \nThis exhibition was made possible through support from: The County of Volusia\, The State of Florida\, Dan Smith and Diana Simmons

SUMMARY:8th Annual Ormond Beach Celtic Festival
DESCRIPTION:Saturate your senses in the sights\, sounds and tastes of Celtic heritage when the Ormond Beach Celtic Festival returns to Rockefeller Gardens with folk music\, food and fun from the seven Celtic Nations and beyond. Arriving this year on April 21 & 22\, 2018\, this eight-year old festival occupies two downtown parks along the Halifax River and fills them with 5 music stages\, a Highland Games\, clans and Celtic societies from throughout the region as well as a host of other activities. Voted the Best Local Event in the 2017 News-Journal’s Readers Choice poll\, the weekend attracts more than 8\,000 locals and visitors each year. Admission is $10 each day for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
