Missey Theodore graduated with a degree in Finance, but it is her love for baking that led her to her dream career. In the spring of 2012, Missey began to take notice of people’s reaction when tasting her creations.
As these fans increasingly placed orders, a quaint café in the Ormond Beach/ Daytona area was visualized and just a short time later, Missey found her new home at 15 North Ridgewood Avenue in Ormond Beach’s downtown district, just next to Hull’s Seafood.
The name “Theia’s” came about as unique because it had two different meanings. In Greek, “Thea” means “Aunt” but by adding an “i”, it becomes “Theia” which means Divine Goddess.
Theia’s Pastries opened in November 2012 with a warm atmosphere that allows customers to see and smell everything that comes fresh out of the oven. Offering an array of traditional Greek desserts, coffees and other favorites, Theia’s can also create a wide selection of specialties that can be ordered for your next event… Just tell us what you’d like, and we’ll create it!
Missey’s passion for baking fresh homemade favorites from family recipes handed down through the generations produces the tastes that you’ll experience for yourself as she continues to earn lifelong fans.
