DESCRIPTION:The final trio of “Dinner\, Art and a Movie” events is scheduled for Friday\, Aug. 5.  The Ormond Memorial Art Museum hosts their Free Family Art Night\, followed by dinner from food trucks set up in the museum parking lot just south of the main building at 78 E. Granada Blvd. A great free movie at the Casements completes the evening. \nYoung artists chaperoned by an adult are invited to the museum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to complete a free art project to take home. Then\, from 6 to 8 pm\, food trucks and frozen confections offer just what it takes to get everyone in the mood for a movie.  Grab your goodies and head over to the Casements lawn just one block west to stake out a spot to watch the Disney classic\, “Cinderella.” \nMice\, pumpkins and fairy godmothers give it their all beginning at 8:15 pm.  Bring your own chairs or a blanket and stretch out under the stars to make sure Cinderella lives happily ever after. \nIf it rains\, they may cancel the movie\, but don’t worry\, the art project and the food trucks will still be around to provide a happy ending. \nFor further information\, contact the museum at 386 676-3347.

DESCRIPTION:There’s no place better to celebrate our nation’s 240 years of freedom than beside the beautiful Halifax River in Ormond Beach. And\, of course\, its free. \nEntertainment will stretch from City Hall Plaza across the Granada Bridge to Rockefeller Gardens.  Bands will be playing on both ends of the bridge from 7 pm – 9:15 pm. \nKids’ activities will be in Rockefeller Gardens (North Lawn) from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Kids’ activities include a rock climbing wall\, a moon walk\, an obstacle course\, a giant slide\, and more! New this year\, there will be a photo booth! Other entertainment includes a juggler\, a magician\, balloon twisting\, a stilt walker\, and of course\, special appearances by Abe Lincoln and Ben Franklin! \nThe finale of this celebration will consist of one of the area’s best fireworks displays! The fireworks begin promptly at 9:30 p.m. on the Halifax River just south of the Granada Bridge. This is the 18th year the event has been held on the corners of the Granada Bridge and it now attracts visitors from other states. \nFor 40 years\, Santore has provided the anxiously awaited fireworks show in Ormond Beach exciting all the spectators and reminding us of the history we are celebrating on the fourth of July. \nFree shuttle service will be available from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. to assist guests in getting back and forth across the Granada Bridge.  For more shuttle bus and parking information visit the City’s website. \nFor more information\, please contact Community Events at 676-3241.

For the past few months\, the museum has solicited photos of the happy couples as part of the ‘I Do Love the Gardens’ celebration.  At 6 pm\, shortly after the debut of the wedding slides\, the museum will host a public reception for more than 35 artists who participated in the “Art in the gARTen” project..
