SUMMARY:A Journey to the Sea
DESCRIPTION:Oil painter\, Stephen Estrada captures the power and fragility of the natural sea.  He equates his large-scale work with “stepping into liquid” and calls his work a “travelogue of the sea”. \n“Many of my paintings depict the waters and landscape of the East and West coast\, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. The latter paintings reflect the powerful effects of Hurricane Katrina where my daughters and I went for years to help rebuild houses after the storm.  They are reminders to me of our place in nature\, its beauty and its power to change our lives in an instant. \nThe Latitude 37 Series is a exploration of exact points along the 37th parallel across America from the Pacific shore to coastal Virginia. The painting from the farthest point west depicts Pillar Point at Half Moon Bay in California. The sister painting from furthest east is of the tidal marshes near Wachapreague\, VA.” \nThe museum\, at 78 E. Granada Blvd.\, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except holidays.  Weekend hours are noon to 4 p.m.   The luxurious gardens featuring architectural tributes to war veterans are open each day until dusk.\n For further information about the exhibit\, call the museum at 386 676-3347. DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the culture and traditions of Native Americans as the City of Ormond Beach proudly presents the 29th Native American Festival at Rockefeller Gardens\, 26 Riverside Drive\, on Saturday and Sunday\, January 20 and 21. \nThe festival will begin with a Grand Entry Opening Ceremony in the Dance Arena.  Over 20 trading booths will be open as well as several demonstrations\, including the Native American Village\, a craft market\, storytelling\, wild life exhibits\, encampment shows and new this year is a “Kids Zone” sure to keep the children busy creating memories and keepsake items. \nThe food court will serve authentic Native American foods as well as all-American barbeque.  The Native American Village will host several alligator and reptile shows throughout the weekend. \nOn Saturday\, January 20\, the Festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m.  The Grand Entry will be at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.   Sunday hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. \nDaily admission is $6.00 for adults\, $5.00 for Seniors (50+) and $4.00 for children ages 4-11.  For more information\, please contact The Casements at 386-676-3216.

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the culture and traditions of Native Americans as the City of Ormond Beach proudly presents the 29th Native American Festival at Rockefeller Gardens\, 26 Riverside Drive\, on Saturday and Sunday\, January 20 and 21. \nThe festival will begin with a Grand Entry Opening Ceremony in the Dance Arena.  Over 20 trading booths will be open as well as several demonstrations\, including the Native American Village\, a craft market\, storytelling\, wild life exhibits\, encampment shows and new this year is a “Kids Zone” sure to keep the children busy creating memories and keepsake items. \nThe food court will serve authentic Native American foods as well as all-American barbeque.  The Native American Village will host several alligator and reptile shows throughout the weekend. \nOn Saturday\, January 20\, the Festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m.  The Grand Entry will be at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.   Sunday hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. \nDaily admission is $6.00 for adults\, $5.00 for Seniors (50+) and $4.00 for children ages 4-11.  For more information\, please contact The Casements at 386-676-3216.
