Labyrinths have been a symbol of transformation for thousands of years. In it’s simplest form, the labyrinth is a single path of concentric circles, leading to a center point. Unlike a maze, the labyrinth has no dead ends, so can be used as a walking meditation to quiet the mind or reflect on a question, letting the body take over the walking journey. Please join us for this opportunity to walk the museum’s garden labyrinth with certified labyrinth facilitator, Karen Duffy, and meet Joan Baliker, the artist who created the labyrinth. After the walk please enjoy the museum’s current exhibit, “Mandalas: 4 Artists Enter the Circle”. The walk is free, but please register in advance.
