Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens continues it’s 70th Anniversary Celebration with the publication of a book about the 70 year history of the Museum. Local historians and authors Ron and Alice Howell, will be on hand on March 9 from 11 am – 12:30 pm to autograph copies of the new book. The book will be available in the museum’s gift shop for $14.95.
The museum, located at 78 E. Granada Blvd. was founded in 1946 by Malcolm Fraser, a Canadian artist. Some of his works are on permanent display at the museum. Per his directive, the museum and grounds honor veterans of various wars with architectural monuments.
The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from noon to 4 pm. on the weekend. For information about the museum and class offerings visit their website.
