DESCRIPTION:Julian Johnson has identified as an artist his entire life. He dedicated his studies to Art\, Political Science\, and Medicine eventually becoming a medic in the United States Air Force. Today he is a Physicians Assistant in Daytona Beach. \nJulian Johnson will be making his artist debut at Frame of Mind Art Gallery this October. His work brings a blend of dreamy realism and fantasy to the gallery. Prints will be available for purchase in the gallery and online. Patrons to the gallery receive 10% off their conservation custom frame. \nMeet the artist at the opening reception held Friday\, October 6th\, 6-8 pm. \nThe artist states when speaking on art\, “I love to create and share my vision of the beauty\, horror\, humor\, insanity and truth of the world as I see it in my rendering and writing. I can only hope that my work\, my contributions may serve as someone’s inspiration. In my opinion\, art is the language of human experience\, an opportunity to indulge in the our most hidden desires\, in a universe of our very own creation and filled with the things that make our timid hearts ache…not a bad place to spend a Friday night.” \nHe has completed portraits\, murals\, fine art paintings\, and writings throughout his artistic career.

DESCRIPTION:Scenic Historical Bus Tour presented by the Ormond Beach Historical Society. This two hour tour includes the Ormond Scenic Loop\, Fairchild Oak\, Three Chimneys Sugar Mill Ruins\, Ormond Indian Burial Mound and historic homes along the way. A knowledgeable tour guide will interpret the 30 sites on the route. Tickets are $20 for adults\, $7 for ages 7 – 12\, and can be purchased at the OBHS Welcome Center 38 East Granada Blvd. or by phone using Visa or Master Card. DESCRIPTION:DRESS UP \nwith the grown-ups for one of our great local charities – Provision Packs.  Enjoy a ‘Hollywood’ evening at 31 Supper Club with food\, drink and a costume contest while helping Provision Packs provide food for needy children.  The charity works in 4 Ormond schools\, making sure that kids who get most their nutrition through the school cafeteria have food to take home for the weekend. Tickets are $50 per person and available at the Provision Packs website or their Facebook page
